Privacy Policy

Last updated: June, 2020

If you’re on this page it means you’re already a client or thinking about becoming our client, therefore the team behind Boom’n’Rank thanks you. It also means you're serious about your privacy, as you should be. We also take security very seriously, in addition we’re serious about offering a simple, easy to understand privacy policy for all visitors or clients of Boom’n’Rank.

Simply put, we only collect personal data which you the client provide to us freely or non-personal information as provided by your web browser. This data is never sold to third party services. The third party services that we do use do not monetize your data either. End of story.

If only it could be so easy. Of course, the short version is not enough for the lawyers, so if you’d like the details, then keep on reading.

But before we go any further, just so we’re on the same page, your continued use of our Site tells us that you agree to the collection and use of information as explained below. Thank you for agreeing. (We appreciate when people agree with us. It would be a shame if you didn’t and you’d miss out on our great content planner.)

Data Collection

Personal Data

When using Boom’n’Rank, we ask you for some personal details (including but not limited to: name, company name, company address and email, and payment details). All of this information submitted on our Site, through a contact form, or through email is provided by you and possibly your coworkers, so be sure to agree upon the information provided.

Log Data

This is a fancy term for the information collected automatically from your browser whenever you visit our Site. ‘Log Data’ might include (but is not limited to) your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.

Third Parties

We do use some third party services, because we like to invite our friends to parties, don’t you? These friends include Google, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Hotjar, and Mailchimp. They collect, monitor and analyze this Log Data.

But don’t stress. Our friends are cool and super good at keeping secrets. They’re just holding your data so that our website can offer you the best service possible. They aren’t going to go spreading your information around or trying to make money off of it. Plus they’re all GDPR compliant, all the cool kids are these days.

Use of Collected Data

How we use your data

Boom’n’Rank uses your data so that you can use our amazing Boom’n’Rank content planner. The data you choose to share with us on our Site allows you to have an account and a subscription. It’s a select club: you select a plan, and you become part of the club.

We also use your information to provide you an even better product. So while you’re working away, so are we.

We also may use your personal information to contact you with newsletters or other promotional or marketing materials. While we believe we are providing you with the best damn information to help you and your company, if you really don’t want all of the incredibly useful information, then you can always opt out within your account settings. No hard feelings. We’ll pity you, but we won’t get angry :)

Collected Data Storage

Where and how is your data kept, you ask?

We store your data for as long as is deemed necessary to its purpose. If you’re really concerned, you can always contact us and we will withdraw this data from our storage. Easy, peasy.

Remember our friends? They are all part of the GDPR Club, so even if your data leaves the European Union, it’s still following GDPR Club rules.

Despite the yummy thoughts that come to mind of Mom’s homemade chocolate chip cookies, these cookies are little bits of data, which may or may not include anonymous unique identifiers. They are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your computer’s hard drive. These less tasty cookies do have their advantages though as they make for a better overall experience on the Site as it will load faster and save you from having to log in each time you visit us.

However, if you are against cookies (the computer ones, not the chocolate ones), then you can instruct your browser to refuse the cookies. It’s up to you, but it might mean that some things on the Site won’t function as well or be visible.

Boom’n’Rank takes security seriously; we use all available safety protocols on our Site and especially when dealing with clients’ personal information and during payments. However, you should be aware that nothing is 100% secure when dealing with transmission over the Internet, so please take care.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of June 1, 2020 and will remain in effect until further changes are made and updated on this exact page.

We reserve the right to make any changes to our Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice, so we encourage checking back here from time to time. We will take your continued use of Boom’n’Rank to mean that you are still in agreement with the Privacy Policy.

If and when we make any changes to the Privacy Policy, we will let you know via the email address you have provided us or by placing a notice on our website.

If you have any questions regarding this or anything else, you can always contact us and we’d be more than happy to answer your questions or concerns.
